  • Emily Russell

Hello Hendersonville! I am so thrilled to be joining the amazing community at Hendersonville Barre and Fitness. I’ve been a lover of fitness for most of my life but really fell in love with barre during the pandemic when I started an online barre program in my basement. I loved that Barre worked my body in ways I had never truly worked before and left me feeling strong, lengthened, toned…and on fire! Needless to say, I was hooked. I love the burn that barre brings and the challenge it creates for every single muscle in the body, and I hope to teach in a way that inspires individuals to embrace that challenge in every class. I am so excited to join such an inspiring group of individuals on this journey at Hendersonville Barre and Fitness.

I’m a native of Hendersonville and moved back here with my husband and our first daughter in 2017. We’ve since had 2 more daughters and are embracing the joy, love and sometimes craziness that 3 little girls bring. I love spending time with my family, going on runs and walks outdoors, trying new recipes, and cheering on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, Tenneessee Vols, and Buffalo Bills!

  • Franciene Moros

Hi, I'm Franciene, a native of Buffalo NY, a wife to my loving husband of 34 years, mother of 2 grown boys, a Grammie to 3 beautiful grandchildren with 1 on the way, and a lover of all things Barre. I started taking barre classes in 2016 while living in Naples Fl. With challenging moves, upbeat music, and a living community, I was instantly addicted! Barre has been my constant form of exercise. I have done so many different types of exercises, but barre has changed my body, strength, and mindset like no other. Every class that I take, I get to shut my brain off and focus on me and my mind-body connection. With every class, my body becomes stronger and stronger. I decided to take my passion and begin teaching so that others can experience the empowerment Barre has given me. Everyone deserves an hour to themselves, and I can't wait to grow stronger with all of you in this incredible, encouraging community! See you at the barre.

  • Michelle Crisp

Hey friend - I’m Michelle Crisp and I can’t wait to meet you!

I love challenging my body, setting goals and achieving them. I’ve attended different types of workout classes, run several 5Ks, 10Ks and a few half marathons. Then I found Hendersonville Barre and have had the fortune to strengthen my body in a new way and I enjoy the community here so much.

I’ve been married to my husband, Bryan, for 21 years and we have two children who keep us on our toes. I work in the banking industry, am fond of junk food, and love sunshine.

Come join me at barre so I can learn more about you!

Pilates Team

Teaching group classes and privates.

  • Amberly’s fitness journey began with her love for science—first as a chemistry student at UNCW, then as a fitness instructor fascinated by the science of movement. She started teaching yoga and barre in 2013, merging her scientific background with her passion for movement.

Her next step was earning a massage therapy license, furthering her understanding of the body’s mechanics. A move to Austin, TX propelled her for a new love of equipment-based Pilates, which provided a stabilizing, centering practice especially valuable for her lifelong hypermobility.

In 2020, Amberly started comprehensive Pilates training with Balanced Body. Her own neurological challenges and family health experiences inspired her to specialize in Pilates for neurological conditions, trauma, EDS, POTS, and more. She also added certifications in proper breathing mechanics, NeuroPilates, Pilates for Neurological Conditions, and Duke Health Coaching.

Amberly and her family moved to Hendersonville in 2023. She is happy to share her Pilates expertise, guiding others to feel strong, balanced, and connected through movement

  • Kerry began her Pilates journey as a dance student in New York City. She trained at Power Pilates, under Bob Liekens, Founder of The Pilates Standard. Earning her teaching certificate in 2004, Kerry began a 10+ year career in New York City as an instructor for notable studios. She was fortunate to work with master teachers, including Alycea Ungaro, Brooke Siler, Kathy Grant, Jay Grimes, Cary Regan.

Following a career path in fitness and wellness, Kerry became a yoga teacher in 2008. A Yogini from childhood, she used Pilates principles to create yoga classes that incorporated both flexibility and strength. She joined the HBO Wellness team in 2011 and worked closely with ergonomics specialist, Alma Colon, on a corporate workplace wellness program. During this time, she also earned an MBA in Sustainability from Bard College in New York.

At this point, Kerry segued into a second career as a program manager and analyst for development organizations in Ghana, including MEST Africa and UN ITC SheTrades. The COVID-19 pandemic changed her career in 2020, when she moved to Palm Springs, California, and resumed teaching Pilates at local boutique studios. During this time, she completed her NASM certification for personal training and nutrition coaching. Fast forward, Kerry is offered a management role for Club Pilates and moves to Los Angeles in 2022. Quickly realizing Los Angeles wasn’t the right fit, Kerry transferred to North Carolina and continued as a senior instructor for Club Pilates.
